If you live in the UK, you may soon glimpse the first wild bison to roam the country in thousands of years. Although not native to Britain, The Wilder Blean project in Kent plans to reintroduce bison in 2022 to help with woodland recovery and management on a controlled site, as was done successfully in the Netherlands in 2007. The rangers will begin with a young bull from Germany, two young females from Ireland, and an older female from Scotland.
Home on the range, indeed!

Not sure if this is the right type of bison but it’s all I could find 🙂
I don’t know what kind of bison you might be getting, but I do know these look like North American bison. 🦬 They really are incredible beings. They always seem a bit sad to me, though. They’re huge, and yet, they don’t seem to really bother or want to interact with humans much. The first time in encountered them was in western US. They were in a herd, and they seemed so massive! … I hope you guys are able to multiply them. Once you have a good supply, some restaurants might have even begin to sell the meat. It’s very good and much leaner than regular beef. 😉

I’m sure you’re right about the photos — I had trouble finding the right one. It will be interesting to see if the project is successful.
